organic cotton (gots)

WHAT IT MEANS:

Our organic cotton yarns are GOTS-certified, which covers organic farming and strict environmental & social requirements in processing (like restricted chemicals and wastewater treatment).

HOW WE USE IT:

we purchase certified dyed and greige yarns from audited suppliers. every shipment is covered by a transaction certificate (tc), so we know exactly what was delivered.

DETAILS:

  • Standard: GOTS v7.0
  • Scope holder we purchase from: Monticolor S.P.A.
  • Scope Certificate no.: sc-005446-0
  • License no.: GOTS-10417
  • Recent tc numbers: ica-tc-gots-2025-233303-3383; ica-tc-gots-2025-232920-3141

verify on the official gots website — search by scope holder name or license number; use tc numbers to check specific shipments.

sheep first, always

responsible wool (rws)

WHAT IT MEANS:

The Responsible Wool Standard protects animal welfare (no mulesing) and encourages better land management. Certification is tracked under Textile Exchange’s content claim standard (CCS).

HOW WE USE IT:

We buy RWS-certified yarns; each purchase is tied to a tc so the certified content is clearly documented. For our current collection, origins include Argentina’s Chubut & Santa Cruz regions.

DETAILS:

  • Standard/version: RWS 2.2:2021 (CCS)
  • TC number: ica-tc-raf-2025-227984-5663
  • Seller te-id: te-00024521

verify on textile exchange — search the tc number or te-id.

honest today, better tomorrow

where we’re at — and going

We don’t have full brand-scope certification yet, so we don’t label finished products as GOTS/RWS. Today’s step is using certified yarns only. Next: certify the whole journey from yarn to finished sock.

SUMMARY:

  • What we claim: Certified yarn inputs (no over-claims)
  • How you check: We publish the key certificate numbers and link you to the official sites
  • What’s next: keep improving, keep reporting here, and add more certified steps
